this was my friend marcus' first fashion show for l'oreal fashion week here in toronto. i used to work at boutique seveneighty on queen west before it shut down, actually i worked at the denim bar next door (which in my opinion is the most kick ass best looking store toronto ever had). working there was hella fun. selling four hundred dollar jeans to jamaican drug dealers, the cracked out neighbors from the women's shelter next door, starbucks runs, alcohol fueled parties, and countless cigarette breaks made it one of the most fun jobs ever. and marcus was the dopest boss on the planet. so when i found out he was finally getting to show during fashion week, i offered to help him out, and he obliged and told me he was gonna pick me up at 10:00 the following morning....on my day off when i was so looking forward to sleeping in. but you gotta help your buddies out so we steamed, we ironed, we taped the bottom of the shoes, we loaded everything in the truck, dressed the models backstage, stressed out every now and then, but in the end, it was all worth it. pretty proud of the fella.
